The Indian telecommunications company BSNL has recently launched a new plan called BSNL 395 days plan. This development comes after the private telecom operators revised their tariffs earlier this month. This new BSNL plan has a validity of 395 days, which means it is valid for more than one year! That sounds great, doesn’t it? We will save a lot of time in a year by avoiding recharging our phone plans on a regular basis.

The BSNL 395 days plan has gained considerable attention on all the major social media platforms. Want to find out all the details regarding the BSNL New Plan? Then check out this post. We will provide you with all the essential information regarding the BSNL New Plan and also compare it with the plans of other telecommunication companies.

What is BSNL offering under the BSNL 395 Days Plan?

The Indian Telecommunications company BSNL is offering the subscribers of the BSNL New Plan 2GB of high-speed data daily along with 100 free SMS daily. Under this plan, the subscribers can make unlimited voice calls across all the networks in the country.

However, this is not all! Under the BSNL New Plan, the telecommunications company BSNL is also providing free nationwide roaming and certain value-added services like BSNL Tunes, Hardy Games, Zing Music, Gameon Astrotell, and Challenger Arena Games. This means that along with all the basic services, BSNL is also providing services for your entertainment.

What is the cost of BSNL 395 Days Plan?

The cost of BSNL 395 Days Plan is Rs. 2,399 for 395 days. This means that it’ll cost you about Rs. 200 per month.

Increase in Price of Plans by Private Telecom Companies

Companies with Telecom Licenses, such as Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, recently hiked the prices of many of their plans, which affected millions of their subscribers.

Let’s check out the details of revised plans of Jio and Airtel.

Changes in Airtel’s Plans

Airtel has hiked the prices of many of its popular plans. However, the telecom company has kept a balance between affordability and enhanced services. The 1 GB per day plan for 28 is now priced at Rs. 299 from the earlier Rs. 245. The 2 GB per day plan which previously cost Rs. 359 now costs Rs. 409 rupees.

The 1.5 GB per day plan for 84 days which was earlier priced at Rs. 719 is now priced at Rs. 859. The 2 GB per day plan for 365 days is now fixed at Rs. 3,599 from earlier price of Rs. 2,999. Airtel offers 5G speed which the BSNL lacks.

Revision of Tariffs in Reliance Jio’s Plans

Reliance Jio is another private telecom operator which has revised the prices of many of its popular plans. The two annual prepaid plans which earlier cost Rs. 1,599 and Rs. 2,999 are now priced at Rs. 1,899 and Rs. 3,599 respectively.

The Jio New plan, just like the Airtel plan, offers high-speed 5G internet. The 3 GB per day plan offered for 28 days remains unchanged at Rs. 449. However, the 2 GB per day plan for 28 days is now Rs. 349 from earlier Rs. 299 and the 1.5 GB per day plan which cost Rs. 239 for 28 days now costs Rs. 299. As you can see, the Jio price increase is not major.

Is the BSNL New Plan Applicable to all the States in India?

The BSNL New Plan applies to all states across India except Jammu and Kashmir, North East, and Assam. BSNL has different plans for these states, which you can check out on the official BSNL website.

Final Words

When it comes to offering plans which are value for money, the state-backed Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) definitely wins. The BSNL new plan seems like an attractive choice due to the recent hike in tariffs by telecom operators, such as Jio and Airtel. The BSNL 395 days plan will save subscribers a lot of time and money.

However, in terms of data speed, BSNL definitely lags behind the private telcos Jio and Airtel. While these private telcos offer high-speed 5G services, BSNL is stuck on providing 4G services.

Internet speed matters a lot, especially for freelancers and those who watch Netflix and Prime movies in HD quality. Once the user exhausts the 2 GB per day data limit offered by the BSNL New Plan, the data speed will be downgraded to 40mbps. On the other hand, Jio and Airtel offer annual plans with no limit or cap on 5G data
