Google Outreach for Startups in India

The Tech Giant Google has recently announced its initiative - Startup School India. This initiative aims to invigorate the accumulated knowledge sleeping in the country's rural towns. Then they will structure them into a curriculum that will enable Startups in India. These Startups, from small cities as well as remote towns, will enable people to overcome various challenges in their day-to-day lives. Google want to cater to such opportune Startup Registration(s).

Startups Vision of the Tech Giant

The idea with Google is to start a programme which will aid atleast 10,000 startups. These startups will set up their infrastructure in Tier 2 and Tier 3 smaller cities. The Startup School India program is of nine-week duration, which the Company will deliver virtually. In addition, fireside chats will be enabled between the Tech Giant’s leaders and collaborators from the Startup ecosystem. This ecosystem will encompass different technological worlds in a single bundle, such as:

  • Fintechs
  • B2B e-commerce
  • B2C (Business-to-Consumer) E-Commerce
  • Language
  • Digital Media Applications
  • Networking
  • Job Search Portals
  • Other relevant Industrial areas

Start Ecosystem Curriculum

The curriculum designed by Google Leaders and its collaborators will feature instructional modules on various subjects. We have listed some of them in the following points:

  • To enable and work on an effective product strategy
  • To explore and yield functional patterns by assessing product user value
  • Creating flexible applications for the giant markets like India and the globe
  • Leading User Acquisitions, and others

India: A Gaint sleeping on its Startup potential

With more than 70,000 startups functioning within its boundaries, India is the third largest base for startups around the globe. As a result, more and more Indians are setting up their own companies. Also, they are leading their Startups to go public by releasing their IPOs or attaining unicorn status. By this, the country's youth, ignited by these success stories, are inspired to embark on their startup journey.

Now, the youth needn’t move to the large metropolitans of this country for their Startup Registrations. Earlier larger cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad promised them the required exposure. But now they can mushroom themselves in centres such as Jaipur, Indore, Gorakhpur etc. To your surprise, nearly 50% of all recognised startups in India are from the smaller cities.

Google aid for Sustainance of Startup post-registration

According to Google’s blogpost, nearly 90% of startups fail within the first five years of their conception. The most common reasons for these Startup’s demises are one or more of the following:

  • Mismanagement of the Cash Burns
  • Poor Demand Assessment
  • Feedback Loops not yield worthy
  • Incompetent Leadership

Therefore, this latest initiative of the Google recognises such faults in the ealier Startup Registration and Sustenanice. Hence, Google designed the Startup School India programme to organise the accumulated information into a structured curriculum. Upon successful formation, Google then deliver these services across the country.
