Purpose of NGO Darpan Certificate

The purpose of the darpan certificate is to authorize a Non-Governmental Organization to operate in India. The certificate contains a unique identity number (UIN). It is required for many reasons, such as for getting government grants, opening NGO bank accounts, and FCRA registration

  • It must be registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013.

  • The NGO’s address proof and PAN card are required.

  • Valid registration certificate of NGO is also required.

  • Statement of NGO’s mission and objectives is also needed.

Process for NGO Darpan Certificate Download

The process for downloading NGO Darpan Certificate online includes the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the NGO Darpan Portal.

Step 2: You have to log onto the portal by entering your credentials.

Step 3: Now, go to the Darpan registration section.

Step 4: Thereafter, select the Download Certificate option.

Step 5: The system will generate an NGO darpan certificate download link. Click on it.

By following these simple steps, your certificate will be downloaded easily. By obtaining this certificate, your non-governmental organization will become eligible for receiving grants and subsidies from the Government of India. 

Validity of NGO Darpan Certificate After Issuance

The NGO Darpan Registration is a one-time registration process. Once the Darpan certificate has been issued to an NGO by the NGO Darpan Portal, it remains valid for an indefinite period. 

This means that there is no expiry date for the Darpan Certificate and doesn’t require renewal.
