What is ESIC Challan?

The ESIC Challan is short for Employee State Insurance Corporation Challan. It is a unique format that is used by the ESIC members to deposit the payment or their contribution using the online ESIC website or through a bank for getting ESIC benefits.

Online Process of E-Payment of ESIC Challan

For e payment of ESIC Challan, you must follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Access the ESIC Portal and click on ‘Pay e-challan’ under ‘Quick Links’.

Step 2: Now, you’ll be taken to the next page. Here, you must fill the required fields: Employer Code and Captcha. Once done, click on the ‘Search’ button.

Step 3: Now, the employer code, factory name and employer address will be visible on your screen. Along with these details, challan number, amount and challan period will be visible.

Step 4: Click on Challan No. for which you want to make the e-payment. Now, you’ll be taken to the next page.

Step 5: On the next page, click on the ‘make payment’ button. You will be directed to the payment page. Do not close or refresh the browser.

Step 6: Now, click on the Netbanking option.

Step 7: On the next page, select your bank from the drop down list and then click on ‘Make Payment’ for making e payment of ESIC Challan.
