All of them are required to obtain EPR Registration for plastic waste on the Central Pollution Control Board’s centralized portal. PIBOs operating in more than two states or UTs are required to register with CPCB. Importers that operate in one or two states or UTs are required to obtain EPR registration from SPCBs and PCCs of the respective states online. 

 

Entities that have EPR registration have to take responsibility for the plastic waste generated throughout their product’s lifecycle. By June 30th each year, they must also file annual reports.   • Aadhar/PAN of Authorized person
  • PAN
  • GST
  • CIN
  • If the unit has a production facility, consents issued by SPCB/PCC are needed 
  • Scanned copy authorized persons’ signatures.
  • Covering letter
  • Process flow diagrams in case of producers & PWPs only
  • Geo-tagged images of production area, raw material storage area, plant machinery and product dispatch area in case of PWPs
  • DIC Registration Number in case the unit is registered with DIC
  • Any other additional documents if asked

Process of EPR for Plastic Waste

EPR Registration for Plastic Waste is an online process which includes filing an online application, documents, and application fees.

 

  • Documentation

Before you fill out your application form, make sure all the copies of relevant documents are in place. If you do not have the required documents’ copies, you cannot complete the application process and all your efforts will go in vain.

  • Register as a User

Before you can begin your application process, you must register as a user and then log into the portal with the login credentials. Then you can begin the application filing.

  • Submission of Application

  • Payment of Application Fee

Online application of PIBOs operating in one or two states will be transferred to the concerned SPCBs or PCCs for further processing on the same portal. The remainder of the applications will be processed by the CPCB.

The EPR registration application takes 2-3 weeks to be processed by authorized officials. The application will be rejected in case the information or documents submitted are false. If the application is complete and seems genuine, CPCB/PCC/SPCB will grant the EPR registration certificate to the applicant.
