The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, abbreviated as APEDA, is a government body which promotes export of fresh fruits and vegetables. It also functions as the secretariat to the National Accreditation Board for the implementation of accreditation of the certification bodies under the National Programme for Organic Production for export of organic products.

 

APEDA is actively involved in the development of market, upgradation of infrastructure and quality so as to promote the export of agricultural products. The government body also provides financial assistance to the registered exporters.
