To empower the women of Delhi, the BJP-led Delhi Government announced the Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY) on March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women's Day. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 will be provided to women, including widows, single mothers, and women from economically weaker sections as long as they fulfill the eligibility requirements.

About Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY)

MSY full form is the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. It is a scheme launched by the Delhi government to provide financial assistance and support to women in Delhi. The financial assistance is Rs. 2,500 to every eligible woman, including widows, single mothers, and women belonging to weaker sections of the society. 

The objective of the MSY scheme is to assist the women in uplifting their financial status, and use the financial aid to meet their basic expenses, such as food and education among other expenses.

“The scheme has been approved today, for which I congratulate the sisters of Delhi… I would like to assure them that all the work needed for their suraksha (security) and the promises related to their samridhi (prosperity) will be fulfilled soon,” Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said during the scheme’s launch on March 8, 2025.

Mahila Samridhhi Scheme Registration Process

To register for Mahila Samridhi Scheme, you must create an account on the Delhi e-district portal. Follow the steps explained below to easily register on Delhi e-district portal for applying for the scheme:
Step 1: Visit the official Delhi e-district portal

Step 2: Now, you must navigate to the “Citizen Corner” section from the menubar. Under this section, click on the option “new user registration”.

Step 3: Now, the citizen registration form will appear on the page. In the selection document type section of the form, select “Aadhaar Card” and then type your Aadhaar Card Number on the Enter Document Number field.

Step 4: Now, you must enter the Captcha code and then click on continue. Once done, another form will open on the page where you need to provide additional details.

Step 5: Afterwards, fill out the complete Citizen Registration Form with personal info. Once done, you must complete the present residential address form, and provide a valid/active mobile number.

Note: It is important to provide an active mobile number since the access code will be sent on it. 

Step 6: After entering all the details, enter the captcha code and then select the “Continue to Register” option.

Step 7: Now, a new page will display on your screen wherein you must complete your registration. Enter the access code that you received on your mobile number. Then, enter the password and captcha. Now, choose the “complete registration” button.

Step 8: Once you complete the above steps, open the final registration acknowledgment page of the registration. You can see your user ID and password among other details on this page.

Once you have created the account of e-district Delhi portal, you can finally apply for the Delhi Mahila Scheme online by logging in to your account.
