BIS Care App is a mobile app designed and maintained by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The IT Services Department of the Bureau of Indian Standards developed this app. 

The BIS care mobile app was launched in 2020 by the Union Ministry for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Sh. Ram Vilas Paswan. 

It allows the consumers to check the authenticity of ISI-marked and hallmarked products. Additionally, it allows the consumers to lodge complaints.

Features of BIS Care Application

BIS Care Mobile App has the following features:

• BIS Care application allows the consumers to lodge complaints regarding quality of the product, quality of services, misleading advertisements, and other issues regarding any ISI-marked item.

• By using the “Know Your Standards” feature of the BIS Care App, the users can get information about Indian standards, licenses and laboratories for a product.

• One can check the location of BIS offices and labs on Google Map using the “BIS Labs and Offices” feature. 

• The BIS care app can be used to verify the registered manufacturers' details according to the product category and model.

• It allows users to check the authenticity of hallmarked jewellery items with HUID number by using the “Verify HUID” feature.

• The BIS Care Application offers its user the facility to check the authenticity of electronic products with R-Number ISI mark by using ‘Verify R-Number under CRS’ feature. 

How to know if a Product is Original or Duplicate using BIS Care App?

The BIS care mobile app enables users to verify the authenticity of products carrying BIS marks, such as ISI mark, hallmark and CRS registration mark. 

You can check whether a Mobile Charger or Adapter is original or duplicate using the BIS care app by following the simple steps outlined below:

Step 1: Visit the Google Play/App Store to download BIS Care App.

Step 2: Once downloaded, open the app and visit the home page. Now Click on “Verify R-No under CRS ”.

Step 3: Now, enter the R-No (product registration number) visible on mobile charger/adapter and click on Go. You can also scan QR Code as printed on BIS letter of registration

Step 4: If your mobile charger is genuine, its details will be provided by the BIS Care app.
