The Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) has stored the details of policyholders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. The PMJAY is a government scheme launched to cater the healthcare needs of the economically weaker sections. It checks the eligibility of the applicant who wants to apply for a particular program or service to avail the benefits.

How Does BIS PMJAY Works?

To get a PMJAY eCard, the beneficiary needs to visit either a hospital or a Community Service Centre (CSC). For identification, follow the below steps:

Step 1: The potential beneficiary has to submit the PM letter/ RSBY URN/ RC Number/ Mobile Number. The Arogya Mitra will search the details in the available list of beneficiaries. This will be done by entering the details such as name, location, Ration card, mobile number or through RSBY URN of the beneficiary.

Step 2: The operator will search for the potential beneficiary in SECC, RSBY, State Health Scheme, Additional Data Collection Drive databases.

Step 3: The individual identification process gets done if the name is found in the list. For the identification of any document such as Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, government ID or any alternate family ID to validate the details available in the system. After this scanned documents will upload.

Step 4: The Arogya Mitra will identify the family records through ration cards and then upload the documents. Individual and family records then submit to the insurance company after the approval.

Step 5: The health insurance company will then approve or recommend rejection for the submitted beneficiaries. The State Health Agency will check the rejected cases for final verification or rejection.

Step 6: In the end, on approval of SHA, an eCard will be issued to the beneficiary.

  • Visit the official website of BIS PMJAY.
  • Enter your registered mobile number and enter the captcha code displayed on the screen. 
  • Click on generate OTP and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP to complete the login process.

The BIS PMJAY portal allows individuals to login as a beneficiary and can provide the details such as name, address, age, income. A head of the family or any other family member can do a registration process.

Once the login completes you can choose any option from the following as per your needs. The different functions are as follows:
