How to Download Ayushman Card

Ayushman Card is a health insurance card issued by the Government of India as part of the PMJAY scheme. This card provides coverage for secondary and tertiary care hospitalizations. Who is Eligible for the Ayushmaan Card?

You can only download ayushman card if you meet the eligibility requirements for the PMJAY scheme. The eligibility criteria for the scheme is different for rural families and urban families.

Eligibility for Rural Families

To determine which rural families qualify for the ayushman bharat card's benefits, six deprivation criteria are used. They are as follows:

• Families without an adult member between the ages of 16 and 59.

• Households with no adult male members between the ages of 16 and 59 that are led by women.

• Single-room households with kucha roofs and walls.

• Households that are classified as Scheduled Tribes or Scheduled Castes.

• Households with a disabled member and no able-bodied family members to provide assistance.

• Families without land whose primary source of income is manual labor. 

Furthermore, the households listed below are automatically eligible for ayushman bharat card:

• Impoverished households that depend on charity.

• Manual scavengers' families.

• Families of bonded labor.

• Tribal groups that are vulnerable and primitive.

Eligibility for Urban Families

For an urban family to be eligible for the card's benefits, they must fall into one of the specified occupational categories:

• Hawkers, cobblers, street vendors, and other service providers who work on the streets.

• Domestic helpers.

• Beggars and rag pickers.

• Personnel with heavy workloads, such as security guards, masons, painters, welders, plumbers, and construction site workers.

• Coolies.

• Gardeners, sweepers, and sanitation personnel.

• Transport employees, including drivers, conductors, and cart pullers.

• Tailors, artisans, home-based laborers, and artisans.

• Watchmen and washermen.

• Mechanics, electricians, repairmen, and assemblers.

• Waiters, attendants, delivery boys, store workers, peons, and helpers.

Eligibility for Senior Citizens

All senior citizens 70 years of age and older, regardless of their financial situation, are eligible for ayushmaan card. 

Note: There’s no separate registration process for the Ayushman Bharat card. Beneficiaries under PMJAY are either enrolled through the RSBY scheme or identified via the SECC-2011. Once you’ve confirmed your eligibility, you can download the Ayushman Bharat card online.

Ayushman Card Download Process

The process for downloading the ayushman card can be completed online easily by following certain simple steps. We have outlined each step for you below:

Step 1: Visit the official NHA beneficiary portal. 

Step 2: Once you’re on the homepage, you must login as a beneficiary by entering captcha, mobile number and authentication mode. After entering the details, click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 3: Now, you must search whether you are a beneficiary. For this, you must enter details in fields like Scheme, State, Sub Scheme, and District. In the ‘Search By’ field, you can select the Aadhaar Number. After entering all these details, enter your Aadhaar number to proceed further.

In case you are eligible for the scheme but not listed, visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) with the required documents to get added to the beneficiaries’ list.

Step 4: Now, a new page will appear. On this page, you can check the status and the list of cards that are linked with your Aadhaar number.

Step 5: You can now initiate the download process. If the KYC for a beneficiary is complete or the card is approved, a download option will appear next to their name. Click this button to start the download process.

Step 6: To download the PM-JAY golden card, you will have to authenticate yourself. You can select Aadhaar as your authentication method and verify using a One Time Password (OTP) that you will receive on your registered mobile number.

Step 7: After verification, the ayushmard card’s download page will become accessible. By clicking on the download button, you can finally obtain your Ayushman Card PDF. After it is downloaded, you can print it.
