How to Register company Name in MCA?
One of the most important steps in company registration in India is to register the company name with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This can be done online with the help of the MCA portal. The MCA portal is run by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It offers various services which are essential for companies in India. If you want to know how to register company name on this portal, check out this blog post!
How is Company Name Registration Done with MCA?
The process of registering a company name in the MCA portal can be understood by through the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Check the Company Name’s Availability
The first step of the company name registration process involves checking the company name’s availability. If the company name you’ve decided already exists, you cannot register a company with the same name.
We recommend you to use Registrationwala’s company search facility. This will allow you to check whether your company name already exists in India.
To use the company search feature, from the drop down menu on left, choose ‘company’ and then type the company name you have on your mind. Then click on the ‘magnifying glass’ button to search. If the company name already exists, it’ll show up in our database.
Step 2: Submission of DSC and DIN Applications
You need to obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for which you can visit the website of the Certifying Authority. Additionally, all the directors must apply for Director Identification Number (DIN) using the MCA portal. For DSC and DIN, applications must be filed separately with the respective authorities.
Step 3: Reservation of Company Name
To reserve the company name, it is necessary to fill out Part A of the SPICe+ form on the MCA portal. Afterwards, you will also be required to fill the rest of the company's details in the same form’s Part B.
Step 4: Filing Company Registration Documents
The company’s eMOA and eAOA must be filed. eMOA is the digital version of the Memorandum of Association while eAOA is the digital version of Articles of Association.
Step 5: Filing AGILE PRO Form
This form is a multipurpose application. It is essential for opening a bank account and registration of ESIC, PF and GSTIN. This form must be filed with SPICe+ application.
Step 6: Uploading documents and attaching DSC
Upload all the documents on the MCA portal along with the completed SPICe+ form on the MCA website. Also, you will have to attach the DSC of the proposed director and a CA’s declaration.
Step 7: Payment of Fees and Stamp Duty
Now, it is time to pay for company registration fees and ROC stamp duty on the MCA portal itself and generate challans.
Step 8: Processing of Company Name Registration Application
The application will be processed by CRC after which it’ll get forwarded to MCA’s ROC. Once ROC receives the application and is satisfied, it’ll register the company’s name and issue a company incorporation certificate stating the company’s registered name.
You can easily register your company’s name with MCA by completing all these essential steps.
Things to Keep in Mind Before Registering Company Name
Make sure that your company’s name doesn’t already exist. For this, you can use Registrationwala’s company search facility mentioned earlier in this blog post.
